Nick’s back! After his trip to Orlando, where he packed in the parks and made Sean incredibly jealous in the process, he’s finally returned to tell us all about the rides, the food, the highlights, and a surprise he brought home for Sean.
Meanwhile, Sean’s had one of those weeks. Between work, the gym, sleep… and then doing it all over again, there hasn’t been much room for anything else. He has, however, revisited a true gaming classic and is finally finishing The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
So grab a brew, get comfy, and join us for another laid-back catch-up filled with holiday stories, gaming nostalgia, and the usual Dad Crossing chaos.

This week’s episode is a little different as Nick is off living his best life in Universal, so Sean is joined by a very special guest — his 14-year-old daughter, Emily.
Emily is into video games like Far Cry, Stray and Little Nightmares, loves anime-style drawing, and has a music taste that ranges from country to pop punk and emo. So basically, she’s cooler than Sean, and this episode gives her the perfect chance to prove it.
This has all the ingredients for a really fun chat because Emily is old enough to have actual opinions, but still young enough to absolutely roast her dad on his own podcast.
Sean and Emily talk through a mix of dad-and-daughter topics, gaming, creativity, music, family life, and what it’s like growing up between two households. From the differences between Dad’s house and Mum’s house, to what teenagers actually care about, to which of Emily’s favourite games Sean would survive in, nothing is off the table.
We also dive into questions like:
🎮 If Dad had to survive in one of your favourite games, how long would he last?🎨 When you’re drawing, what comes first — the character, the story, or whatever pops into your head?🎵 What music artist would surprise people to find on your playlist?🏠 What’s the biggest difference between living at Dad’s house and Mum’s house?😂 What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever seen Dad do?❤️ What’s one thing you wish parents understood about being 14?
There’s also a rapid-fire round covering cats vs dogs, Xbox vs PlayStation, country vs pop punk, Stray vs Little Nightmares, best thing Dad cooks, worst dad joke, and plenty more.
And somewhere in amongst the laughs, awkward pauses, and potential Blink-182-related criticism, we might even hit a few properly meaningful moments too.
So come listen along as Sean and Emily take over the show for a fun, honest, and slightly dangerous daddy-daughter episode.

This week’s episode is another one of those long Everyday Life catch-ups, because there’s been plenty going on for both Sean and Nick.
Nick is getting ready to head off to Florida to visit Universal, and while Sean is absolutely green with envy, we do of course wish him all the best… through slightly gritted teeth.
Sean shares all about his recent workplace visit with the children he’s been mentoring, giving them a look into his world and hopefully inspiring a few future paths along the way. Meanwhile, Nick fills us in on everything happening before he jets off — from soccer and bowling to getting work wrapped up and life organised before holiday mode kicks in.
It’s a classic Dad Crossing catch-up full of busy schedules, proud moments, a little bit of jealousy, and the usual tangents along the way.
Next week will be another single episode, but with a special twist — Sean will be joined by his daughter Emily for a daddy-daughter episode.
So grab a drink, get comfy, and come hang out with us for another long one.

This week’s Dad Life episode is a little different as Sean and Nick sit down for a game of Parenting Would You Rather.
We start off with the silly stuff, move into very real parenting situations, and somehow end up in the deep and meaningful corner — because apparently even daft questions can turn into emotional damage when you’re two dads trying to answer honestly.
Expect plenty of awkward pauses, big laughs, and some proper “erm…” moments as we work through questions like:
Would you rather step on LEGO barefoot every morning for a week, or hear “Dad, watch this!” every five minutes for an entire day?
Would you rather deal with a public toddler meltdown in a supermarket, or a child loudly repeating something embarrassing you said at home?
Would you rather your child always tell you the truth, even when it hurts, or protect your feelings but keep things hidden?
Would you rather never get a lie-in again, or never have five minutes of peace on the toilet?
Would you rather your kid follow in your footsteps, or completely surprise you with a path you never expected?
It’s a mixed bag of ridiculous, relatable, and surprisingly thoughtful parenting moments.
So ask yourself… would you rather listen along and laugh with us — or at us — or miss out on a hilarious Dad Life episode from your two favourite dads?
Yeah. We thought so.

This week’s Everyday Life episode kicks off with not one, but two brilliant Nick stories involving his daughter and baked beans — yes, the breakfast food for the Brits. We promise it makes sense… eventually. 🫘
Sean then fills Nick in on all the May half-term fun he’s been having, from ridiculously hot UK weather and paddling pools to family BBQs and, of course, more car washing. We know. We’re sorry. Sean will stop talking about car washing soon… probably. Maybe. No promises.
Then we break down what we’ve been playing, both with and without the kiddos, before Nick proudly reveals he has captured the rarest of all dad treasures: the Great White Buffalo of weekends — one where absolutely nothing is happening.
No plans. No rushing. No chaos. Just peace.
So grab a drink, get comfy, and come hang out with us for stories, laughs, games, and the usual Dad Crossing tangents.

Off the back of Sean’s prep for the May half-term, this week’s Dad Life episode is all about making the most of time with the kiddos without needing to spend a fortune.
We chat through what we’ve got planned, how to keep the kids busy, and how sometimes the best memories come from the simple stuff rather than the expensive days out.
A few low-cost ideas we cover include:
🚲 Bike rides — fresh air, tired legs, happy kids 🥾 Walks and hikes — bonus points if there’s mud, sticks, or snacks involved 🎣 Fishing trips — patience, peace, and probably someone getting tangled 🏕️ Garden camping — all the fun of camping, but with your own toilet nearby ⚽ Park games and kickabouts — simple, free, and usually chaos 🧰 Learning practical skills — because knowing how things work is never wasted
Sean’s also planning a few hands-on life lessons, including bike maintenance and some basic electrical knowledge — because you never know when you’ll need to wire a plug or fix something five minutes before leaving the house.
So escape the chaos, sneak off for a long sit down on the throne, and listen along as we share some half-term ideas to keep the kids entertained and the memories rolling.

We’re back to our regular schedule, which means you’re getting two episodes this week — and we’re kicking things off with a classic Everyday Life catch-up.
Nick’s been watching scary movies with Mrs Nick, but the real horror story comes from Domino the cat, who decided that Nick’s filament box looked less like 3D printing supplies and more like a personal potty. Absolute CAT-tastrophe. 🐱
Meanwhile, Sean’s been busy cleaning cars, working, and getting the garden ready for the kids being off during the May half-term holiday in the UK. Because nothing says “relaxing school break” quite like trying to make the garden child-proof before chaos arrives.
So pull up a lawn chair, grab yourself an ice-cold beverage, and come hang out with us for another round of dad life, laughs, and the usual tangents.

This week’s episode is another long catch-up, because once again life, parenting, work, and everything in between made lining up our schedules a challenge. That’s dad life for you!
Nick fills us in on Mother’s Day and celebrating the important ladies in his life, while Sean talks about absolutely walking his legs off in the Yorkshire Dales — because apparently ignoring your surgeon’s advice is easier when you’re 56,000 steps deep into a hike.
Once we finally sit down together, we catch up on all of it: family life, busy schedules, poor food choices, what we’ve been playing, and that strange feeling of being constantly busy doing everything… and somehow nothing at the same time.
It’s a longer, relaxed episode full of laughs, tangents, and two dads just trying to keep up with life.
So grab a drink, get comfy, and come hang out with us.

This week’s Dad Life topic is a big one: the invisible load of dads — the stuff no one always sees, but we’re constantly thinking about.
There’s been a real shift over the generations. The classic 70s sitcom dad — the Al Bundy style figure — would go out to work, come home, and the home was mostly seen as Mum’s domain. Through the 80s and 90s, that started to change, with more mums working and dads becoming a more active part of the day-to-day parenting picture.
Now we’re in the era where Sean and Nick sit — the modern dad era. We’re trying to pull our weight, be present, do the school runs, cook, clean, shop when we’re trusted with the list, organise family help, support Mum, support the kids, and still somehow keep everything else moving.
But that comes with a cost.
Because while we’re trying to be present dads, we’re also still trying to work hard, fix things, keep the house running, tackle the DIY, manage money, plan ahead, remember schedules, and be emotionally available when the family needs us. Sometimes that invisible load gets heavy, and sometimes it means we’re not quite on our A-game.
In this episode, we talk honestly about what that feels like, why dads often carry it quietly, and why it’s so important to actually talk about it instead of just pushing through.
So to all the dads listening: You’re not alone. It’s good to talk. And you’re doing an amazing job — even with the stuff no one sees.

This week’s episode starts with Logan putting Sean’s patience firmly to the test — and they do say never work with animals or children… especially when one of them knows exactly which buttons to press.
Nick has finally slowed his roll a little after an absolutely packed week of driving, soccer, bowling, theatre rehearsals, shows, and even fundraising to help build more homes for people. Honestly, what an absolute legendary powerhouse.
Speaking of power, Sean has been on a full power washing rampage — causing chaos with the neighbours, cleaning Grandma’s back yard, and somehow turning that into planning the materials, cost, and madness involved in laying his own artificial turf.
Sometimes with Dad Crossing, you just get to listen along as Sean and Nick catch up. No big script. No major talking points. Just two best dudes hanging out, laughing, rambling, and making sense of another busy week of dad life.
So grab a brew, get comfy, and come hang out with us.
